"Kill on Sight" Zones

Redzones are defined by red highlighted areas on the map, they are "kill on sight", meaning this does not require or create initiation. However, you must be inside the zone to shoot. You cannot shoot from inside to outside or outside to inside unless someone is actively involving themselves with the zone (e.g constantly going in/out of the zone or giving callouts to people inside the zone).

If a redzone disappears, normal initiation rules apply if shots have already been fired at the other party.

Conflict Areas

Capture Points

Capture Zones are a gang activity that can be achieved by locating a zone on the map, such as Devils Port, Winter Mansion, Scrap Yard or Ghost Hotel. These zones will have 3 different colors which are important to note. Capture zones are redzones at all times regardless of colour. (Not including Mobster/Cartel base, if you shot before the zone turns green the initiation continues but if the zone is green it is not KOS).

  • White means that it hasn't been captured yet.
  • Orange means that it is currently being captured.
  • Red means that it has been captured and is actively held by a gang.

To capture a zone, you must locate the flagpole that is within the zone (typically near the center) and press your windows key on it, then pressing capture. Whilst a gang is in control of a zone they will periodically gain gang funds multiplied by the current population of the server. Getting kills on enemy gangs within zones will also provide Gang Experience which can be used to unlock perk points for your Gang Hideout unlocks.

Conflict Zone

Conflict Zone events occur in "No Mans Land". The objective is to capture points with your gang. A maximum of 8 gang members can attend the Conflict zone event (CTRG can ally but your numbers can not exceed a total of 8 members).

The medical rule preventing you to return to the scene of your death does not apply in conflict zone events; if you die in a conflict zone event, you may return instantly.

Looting

Land Events

Cartel Money

Cartel Money is a server-wide event that spawns occasionally, this will create a KOS zone somewhere on land which will spawn a machine covered by a tent. A player can activate the machine by pressing Windows on the machine, then electing to begin printing. This will start spawning dirty money over time into the players hands. This is an illegal activity which CID actively attempts to prevent by checking the location on routine patrols.

Plane Crash

Plane Crash is a server-wide event that spawns occasionally, this will create a KOS zone somewhere on land which will spawn a crashed plane which you require the Jaws of Life item to open. This is where you can locate the pharmaceutical drugs to use with the Meth Lab.

Weapons Cache

Weapons Cache is a server-wide event that spawns occasionally, this will create a KOS zone somewhere on land which will spawn a crate after a period of time, this crate will parachute down into the zone and will contain a couple of random guns and magazines for those guns. This is an illegal activity which SWAT actively attempts to prevent by responding to the situation when the event begins.

Meth Lab

Meth Lab is a server-wide event that spawns occasionally, this will create a KOS zone somewhere on land which will spawn a building which you can take pharmaceutical drugs and press your Windows key to begin cooking. After a short period of time the drugs will turn into Meth which can be collected. This is an illegal activity which CID actively attempts to prevent by checking the location on routine patrols.

Note that there is a chance the whole building can explode!

Meteorite Mining

Meteor Strikes are part of the "Sequenced Missions System"; a series of events that happen once every 30 minutes. Impact sites and meteorite fragments are of great scientific interest and are protected by the Research Preservation Act. Mining meteorites is illegal; the impact site is a red zone and KOS.

You will have five minutes from the initial warning of an incoming meteor impact before the meteor strikes the ground. Keep a distance of at least 120m to avoid debris damage from the impact. You will have five minutes to collect meteorite fragments with your pickaxe before it becomes un-minable. Once you have collected all that you can, you can sell the fragments.

Aquatic Events

Asylum Seekers

Asylum Seekers are a server-wide event that spawns occasionally, this will create a KOS zone somewhere in a body of water which can spawn between 3 to 6 AI which will be floating in the water wearing various high visibility clothing. You will have to drive slowly by them within ~5 meters of distance in a boat which will load them up into the boat.

You may then turn these in by heading to a boat shop and interacting with the sign to turn in asylum seekers, the pay out is multiplied by the amount of MAA online. This is deemed an illegal activity and MAA actively try to stop this activity from taking place by securing the asylum seekers.

Protected Coral

Protected Coral is a small KOS zone which is utilized by heading there with a vehicle such as a boat or the sparrow, swimming down to the coral reef below and utilizing a pickaxe to mine chunks of Coral. This is an illegal activity which MAA actively attempts to prevent by checking the location on routine patrols.

The Coral item can then be sold at the Illegal Trader.

Jellyfish Swarms

The "Jellyfish Act" defines the legality of jellyfish gathering.

Jellyfish are infrequent visitors of our local waters arriving as part of the "Sequenced Missions System"; a series of events that happen once every 30 minutes. The swarms are vast but they do not stay for long. To net for jellyfish, head to the "Swarm of Jellyfish" marked on the map in a boat with trunk space. Note that this fishing area is a red zone and KOS. Use your Windows key to drop a net and wait for it to fill. The jellyfish will be automatically added to the boat trunk.

Jellyfish are animals protected by the state and, as such, possession of any amount of jellyfish is illegal.

Shipwreck

Shipwreck is a random event in which a ship needs to be blown open with an underwater charge to gain some loot such as refined oil.
