Texas Department of Public Safety M.D.T

The MDT is a crucial tool for the police to do their job and properly document all arrests and tickets. All Officers document their arrests and tickets given during the shift via the MDT. The MDT also offers many things to help officers such as BOLO, warrants, person lookups, and DMV searches to check vehicle license plates. Below you will see the pages the MDT offers.

MDT Home

The MDT home is the main page you will open up the MDT to, Here you will be able to see active BOLOs, ten codes, monthly reports (all reports that are input into the system will automatically get tracked under your name), active Law Enforcement that is on-duty, and the current watch commander if you are of high enough rank in the Police force you will be eligible to take the position of watch commander.

Persons Lookup

One of many features that the MDT offers is persons lookup, this feature allows you to look up a person by their name and see any past convictions, licenses they currently possess, vehicles owned and registered by said person, and any active employment within the state of Texas.

DMV Lookup

Another feature of the MDT is DMV lookup which allows you to search for any license plate. Running a license plate will show you the vehicle's owner, insurance or impound status, and strikes. A vehicle is given a strike when seized by the police. When it is seized more than 3 times it will be destroyed.

Texas Asset View

The asset view tab will allow you to look up any person and view all the properties they currently possess in Texas.

MDT Documents

The documents feature is a very crucial part of the MDT, this is where officers of DPS will document all arrest reports, and citation reports, as well as see current standing orders with the DPS, and a folder containing documents for their specified department.

MDT Intelligence

The MDT intelligence tab allows you to do many things. For example, warrant management, BOLOs, and DOC status checks. The intelligence tab also displays the general log of actions.

Code of Laws

The code of law is a helpful lookup tool for felonies, misdemeanours, and traffic violations. The amendments tab is accessible in the top right of the menu.

Settings

The settings tab of the MDT will show you your radar logs. You may change your GPS prefix, start-up page, and colour scheme of your MDT here.

Complaints and Questions

Questions

Members of the public's questions may be forwarded to any supervisor or command member on duty. Questions regarding operating procedures and policies must be followed through the department Command.

Complaints

Any complaints regarding corruption or misconduct must be forwarded directly to Internal Affairs who will deal with the matter privately.

Internal Affairs can be contacted in-game or on Teamspeak in the "Waiting for Internal Affairs" channel under the TxDPS header.

If you wish to report a member of the TxDPS, evidence within roleplay requires both a go-pro and wire item. However, Internal Affairs will still review statements given to them by members of the public or the TxDPS.
